In 1969 and again this year (1976) Carmen Moreno was invited to appear in the annual international song festival presented by the Organización de la televisión Ibero-Americano (O. T. I. - Organization of Ibero-American Television). For this year's festival in Acapulco she wrote Sangre Antigua (Ancient Blood) ... "to reflect the pride that most Latin Americans share in their Indian heritage."
